Get internet access on your phone by texting Batelco
If you don't have internet service on your phone but you really need it then you may want to bookmark this post.
It's not available to post-paid phone users, they have to go in to Batelco to add the service. Just one more way BTC makes being a post-paid customer a sucky experience. Also, I was told the "platform is down" when I called today so it may not work right now. Hopefully it's only temporary.
Anyhoo. . . . to access the internet temporarily follow the steps below:
- Make sure you have enough money on your phone to cover the cost of the package you want
- Text the code that corresponds to your package IN ALL CAPS to 5000
- Codes:
- 7 days - $12.99: BB7D
- 14 days - $21.99: BB14D
- 30 days - $39.99: BB30D
Don't bother looking for the info on BTC's website http://www2.btcbahamas.com/ cause it aint there. I had to call to find out. To their credit, the woman I spoke to knew what I was talking about and gave me the info. She did not sound particularly excited but I'll take effective over pleasant any day.
That is all.
